There are many ways to support this campaign, from registering as a donor to amplifying the message in your community. Every action matters.
Most Impactful Action
If you're Indigenous, registering as a stem cell donor is one of the most powerful things you can do for your community. Stem cell compatibility is tied to your genetic heritage, meaning Indigenous patients are most likely to find compatible matches within their own communities.
It's free. It takes about 2 minutes online. A kit arrives by mail. You complete a cheek swab and send it back. That's it. You're on the registry.
What to Expect
Visit blood.ca and complete a short online eligibility questionnaire (~2 minutes)
Receive a free sample kit by mail within 1-3 weeks
Complete a simple cheek swab and return it in the pre-paid envelope
You're on the registry. If you're ever a match, Canadian Blood Services will contact you.
