"Representation Saves Lives"

Indigenous patients remain significantly underrepresented within donor systems, making it more difficult to find life-saving matches. Through storytelling, advocacy, and community partnerships, we aim to support equitable access to care while centering Indigenous voices.

Why Representation in the Registry Matters

Indigenous Donors Save Lives is a Northern British Columbia health equity initiative focused on increasing Indigenous representation on Canada's stem cell registry through education, advocacy, storytelling, and donor recruitment.

Indigenous patients often face additional barriers when searching for compatible stem cell donors, making increased representation critically important. Through community partnerships and awareness initiatives, this campaign aims to strengthen Indigenous participation and promote health equity.
